Ce lundi 22 octobre, au terme des quinze jours légaux qui leur étaient offerts après le vote, perruqués, les épaules couvertes d’hermine, les onze membres du Conseil constitutionnel, tous nommés par Paul Biya, ont proclamé la victoire définitive et sans appel du même Paul Biya à l’élection présidentielle.
Un septième mandat obtenu officiellement avec 71,28 % des suffrages pour un homme de 85 ans qui a déjà occupé pendant près de trente-six ans la plus haute fonction de l’Etat.
